CEPR Introduces Hip Hop Sensation Honest

Honest: free from deceit and untruthfulness, sincere.

True to his name, Honest is a genuine hip-hop artist and modern renaissance man. Born in the San Francisco Bay Area, Honest’s music is an authentic narration of urban life, struggles and triumphs. He is involved in his community and has drawn a regional following with his versatility and entrepreneurial spirit. Born to teenage parents, Honest grew up in the Fillmore and Lakeview districts of San Francisco. Through his craft, Honest is able to share his coming of age stories while being a voice for others. A wide range of musical influences coupled with a unique style has helped Honest create his own individual sound.

Honest is currently working on the release of his third CD. The video for Honest’s newest single “Go Girl” featuring Matt Blaque is slated to air on CMC and BET in early 2010.
With personal and professional drive that cannot be stifled, Honest launched Bay Beauty Magazine, a niche publication focused on Bay Area hip-hop culture. As Founder and CEO of PowerMoves Entertainment, Honest has released two CDs of his own, “Just Aint Heard of Me” in 2004 and “Boss Game,” in 2007.

Through his musical talent and community exposure, Honest has garnered the recognition amongst industry leaders and supporters of west coast hip hop. A background in theatre fostered Honest’s range of talents including acting, singing, community advocacy, entrepreneurship, and event hosing. Honest has hosted various festivals, the West Coast Hip Hop Awards and the BARS (Bay Area Rap Awards)……….
