Shady Nate Is Back With A New Single From His Newest Album Gasman Unleashed

The Song:

Oakland emcee Shady Nate returns with the track “Throwing My Gang Up” featuring J. Stalin & Eddi Projex from his new album, Gasman Unleashed. While “Throwing My Gang Up” has definite radio appeal, showcased by the head nodding and instantly recognizable drum loop and catchy hook, don’t let the catchiness fool you. Shady Nate’s street flavor comes across in his flow. Deft wordplay found within lines like, “Lil’ mama, I just do it like Nike, stylin’ that’s why these haters don’t like me” prove the attention Shady Nate is garnering is not unwarranted, as he works to solidify himself as one of the top MC’s coming out of the Bay Area. Shady Nate’s newest album, Gasman Unleashed, is available now via Clear Label Records

The Background:

Shady Nate is no stranger to struggle and adversity. Born and raised in West Oakland’s Acorn housing projects, Shady Nate learned from a young age to hustle and grind to get anywhere. His rapping career began at the age of five when he started writing his thoughts and daily experiences in a journal. These entries gradually developed into the lyrics that he spits today. In 2004 Shady Nate launched Livewire Records and subsequently recorded and released a full-length mixtape with Nas’ tour DJ, Oakland native DJ Fresh. The buzz only got bigger when Nate released The Bofessional, which is regarded as his best mixtape to date. Riding high on his growing popularity, Shady Nate released The Gasman Unleashed in June 2009, and the album was quickly dubbed a west coast classic. The Gasman Unleashed is available now via Clear Label Records.
