Biography
Nifty born as Vaihi Toki in Montclaire, CA (LA) moved to the Bay Area as a kid, but was then raised throughout his teen years in The Mac (South Sacramento, CA). His parents tried to keep him away from the struggles of their environment, but as his father fell into drugs and his mother’s health started slowly declining he found himself becoming involved with drugs, sex, and money. While working a 9 to 5 to help provide for his family Nifty met up with New Hotness Entertainment producer/engineer Joel Banks. Joel had been involved with production and had a couple of artists under their entertainment group. After showcasing his music to Nifty, he became interested in rapping for New Hotness and the rest is a wrap!
Nifty went in to record his first song titled “Check The Name” and he was hooked ever since. Nifty’s dedication to rap became apparent when hypeman and first cousin ULA moved back to Sacramento from the I.E.(Inland Empire, LA) in March of 2007. They started up a mixtape Da Capitol Movement Mixtape Vol. 1. Unfortunately, a month later his mother died in April of 2007 (R.I.P. Leamelino Elaipalesi Toki). Nifty’s life changed dramatically from that point on and he was destined to make it by any means necessary. Nifty dropped the mixtape Da Capitol Movement Vol. 1 in October, 2007 to generate a big buzz in Sacramento, but it wasnt enough for him at this point in his career.
Nifty felt his career wasn’t going fast enough as rap was not paying the bills at this point and his part time hustle wasn’t making enough to support him. From hustlin’ on the streets and selling liquor throughout the hood he found himself facing charges of Felony Burglary and Contribution to the Deliquency of a minor. He fought those charges and plead No Contest to Petty Theft. Fresh out of jail and ready to make an impact Nifty is focused, motivated, and determined to make a name for himself in the rap game. Like so many before him, he has a long and hard road to travel but after losing one of the most important people in his life, nothing can hold him down.
Nifty has recently been touring with the Bay Area’s finest: Mistah FAB, The Pack, The Federation, Keak Da Sneak, San Quinn, Dirt Nasty and is now ready to headline himself. With his new single, “Drop That,” Nifty is taking Northern California radio waves by storm and is considered the next to blow. Who knows what the future holds for Nifty but all he knows is this: “Whatever I do, Imma do it to the fullest! Can’t nobody tell me shit cuz they dont determine what happens to me…I DO!”

Future
Nifty is currently working on his next mixtape, entitled “Da Capitol Movement Mixtape (Vol. 2).” The mixtape is hosted by DJ Ill Will (out of LA) & DJ Rockstar and its singles, “Drop That” and “So Easy” have already placed over 160,000 downloads combined. The mixtape will also feature Doey Rock, Roscoe Umali, Cin, Hot Dollar and many other producers including Jayson “Koko” Bridges (Nelly – “Over and Over Again” “Shake Ya Tailfeather”), Team Green (Fabolous, Ne-Yo, Red Cafe), and more!
